The Holt Farm

So God made a farmer...

In the early 1970's, TVA chose some land for what would become Watts Bar Nuclear Facility. That was the same land my parents and grandparents farmed along the banks of the Tennessee River. Fast forward a couple of years and the entire Holt Family winds up in the Sweetwater Valley and on this piece of land we still farm. Now in a 3rd and 4th generation the farm is home to West Hills Dairy, Grain Bin Commodities, and both the Holt and Second Mile Farm. Collectively, we are the Holt Farm... Carrying on what Calvin and Linda started here in 1974, with a goal to be a farm for generations to come.

Sharing the Farm with our Neighbors

Since early on, the farm has hosted many events. Church gatherings, East Tennessee Retriever Club Trials, Civic Clubs, Dove Hunts and more... In 2019, we added the bakery, and invited the public to eat a sweet on the porch. In 2021, we added the Red Barn as an event center, in 2022 we added the Barn Cottages and Harvest Host campsites.

Now you can truly Eat, Stay, and Play.

Octobers on the farm are labeled as Fall on the Farm, this is an extension of our Agritourism side. You can enjoy the corn maze, hayrides to the pumpkin patch, and old-fashioned games all while taking in the beauty of the farm.
